ATVs in Town

With the deer hunts and other activities approaching, there is always an increase of ATVs on the roads in town.  I just wanted to send a quick reminder to those that may be riding.   The city ordinance that allows off road vehicles on the roadway was created for our convenience.  It allows us to ride ATVs on the city streets to the trails leaving town.  It would be kind of silly to load your four wheeler in a truck just so you could unload it three or four blocks away to go riding.  PLEASE don't abuse the ordinance, I would hate to lose it.

Reminders:
-Speed limit of 25 MPH
-Riders must be at least eight (8) years old and escorted by a licensed responsible adult  (within earshot)
-Helmets are required (under 18 years old)
-Riders are allowed to cross Main Street, but not ride on it
-Riders should stay on access roads (100 North, 400 East, Diagonal, 200 West, 200 East and Center Street) See the City Office for the full list of the approved ATV access roads.

Also, the city property located on the corner of 400 South and 400 East, we ask that you don't ride ATVs on the property any longer.

Thanks
